Anime & Manga

The Anime Club is a student led club that meets every Tuesday during lunch in A004. The Anime Club commenced in 2014 and was instigated by students. A female student in year 8 approached me and asked if I would supervise her a few friend during lunch while they designed some Manga characters for fun. As time went on, other students from years 7-11 heard about the activities of this group of students and began joining them.

Towards the end of term 2, 2014 over 30 students had joined the team (this number grew to over 50 students in 2015). A formal proposal was created and submitted to the Deputy Principal which detailed their project, lunch time activities and membership base. Throughout the school year (2014), students tirelessly created images that would form part of their first Manga. 

In 2015, students are creating another magazine as well as an animated Manga.

In term 4, 2015, students digitally published and presented their magazine to the School Principal (below).
