Aboriginal Education

Rooty Hill High School is proud to be on Darug Land.

Aboriginal Education at Rooty Hill High works under the ‘Dare to Lead’ recommendations to foster a ‘First Nations’ approach in Multicultural Australia. We work with many organisations to support the needs of our indigenous students such as the AFL Indigenous Academies and the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME). Moreover, these opportunities provide indigenous and non-indigenous students to work together.

NAIDOC Week was celebrated at Rooty Hill High School in the first week of Term 3 with faculties leading Aboriginal perspectives in their classes.

As part of NAIDOC Week, our Year 8 students created this website which documents the learning activities of all of our students- https://sites.google.com/site/rhhsnaidoc/
