Noelene Callaghan is a Digital Classroom Officer for the NSW Department of Education. Noelene incorporates the latest technologies into her classroom and is committed to developing 21st Century Learning strategies for numerous schools in the state. She is currently committed to working with new schools that are being built or refurbished in designing new innovative pedagogies.
Noelene is endorsed to provide the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher level. Noelene is often asked to present at Staff Development Days in schools throughout NSW and ICT based conferences in Australia and NZ.
Noelene is a member of the NESA Accreditation Panel, a Councillor of The Teacher's Guild of New South Wales and a Freelance Writer.
Noelene's area of expertise is using new technologies within Australian secondary classrooms. Much research is dedicated to using Minecraft and Social Media in a learning environment which are amongst the most referenced papers in the areas of ICT, gamification and digital pedagogies. She is also highly recognised for her ICT skills and is a Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator, a Global Minecraft Mentor, a Google Certified Educator and an Edmodo Ambassador.
